The AIESEC-Experience: Going to a Conference in the Middle of Nowhere

Whilst living in Gothenburg, I decided that just going to school and having fun wasn’t enough — I wanted something more out of my Erasmus experience and that’s how I stumbled into a non-profit international student organisation called AIESEC. The concept immediately drew my attention and before I knew it I was at an info-meeting, going on an interview to become a member and after becoming a member, being convinced to go to the next conference, because they all told me it was an experience not to be missed. Google Event at the Business School!

I only heard about this event a few hours before it happened via a friend’s post on Facebook. But as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to check it out. It’s not every day that this kind of company is doing something for us, students.

Google is now a multinational with a huge variety of services and employees all over the world, so it’s easy to think that they went to the “dark side”. But when you go to one of the event they organize, like today, you understand that they’re trying to keep the fresh and innovative spirit with which they began their journey.
